Our standard factory MOQ is 50 KG for loose silica gel, activated clay and most bulk desiccant products. Pre-filled pouches are normally planned by total fill weight and pouch size; custom printed or private label pouches may require a higher project MOQ because printing, roll setup and packing runs have fixed costs. Trial samples can be arranged before a buyer commits to regular bulk supply.

Yes. BhavNil Chemicals supplies 25 KG HDPE bags, drums, cartons, pre-filled pouches and container desiccant formats for production buyers, packaging converters, exporters and distributors. For repeat buyers we can plan monthly dispatch schedules, batch reservations and consistent packing formats so procurement teams do not need to re-qualify material every order.

COA, MSDS and TDS are available for industrial and export orders. Batch-wise COA can include parameters such as adsorption capacity, moisture content, bulk density, pH and particle size where applicable. For regulated buyers, we recommend confirming the required documents at quotation stage so the correct batch and documentation set are aligned before dispatch.

BhavNil supplies DMF Free silica gel and can provide REACH and RoHS declarations for applicable products. Orange indicating silica gel is the preferred option for buyers avoiding cobalt chloride in EU-facing or regulated applications. Buyers should share the destination market and end use so our team can recommend the correct grade and documentation.

Yes. We manufacture desiccant pouches in non-woven, Tyvek and other agreed media with custom fill weights, warning text, buyer branding, batch details and private label artwork. OEM requirements should include pouch size, fill type, monthly quantity, print colour, language requirements and target market so we can quote accurately.

Ready-stock bulk silica gel can usually be dispatched after order confirmation, payment clearance and document finalisation. Custom pouch sizes, OEM printing, private label packing, special mesh sizes and large export lots require additional production and QC time. Exact lead time is confirmed in the quotation based on quantity, packaging format and current stock.

Yes. We regularly support export-oriented buyers with commercial invoice, packing list, MSDS, COA, compliance declarations and moisture-safe packing formats. Palletisation, container loading support, markings, freight-forwarder coordination and Incoterms are confirmed order-wise. Buyers should share destination country and any buyer-specific compliance checklist early.

For container-level protection we recommend container desiccant bags or strips, commonly 250 gm x 4 strip formats or 1 KG hook pouches depending on cargo sensitivity and container size. Textiles, leather, food products, electronics, machinery and metal parts often need both carton-level silica gel and container-level desiccants to prevent container rain and cargo sweat.

Correct dosage depends on internal pack volume, barrier film, product moisture, target shelf life, starting humidity and transit climate. A small pharmaceutical bottle may need 1-2 gm, while export cartons may need 50-250 gm or more. For accurate sizing, share pack dimensions, product type, storage duration and destination conditions with our technical team.

White non-indicating silica gel is normally selected for food-adjacent, pharmaceutical and electronics packaging because it is inert, non-toxic and free from colour indicator compounds. Orange cobalt-free indicating silica gel is used where visual saturation indication is required. Blue indicating gel is generally avoided for EU-facing or food-adjacent applications due to cobalt chloride concerns.

Yes. Samples can be provided for technical qualification, pouch trial, adsorption check, packing-line approval or buyer documentation review. Sample dispatch depends on product type and availability. For meaningful evaluation, buyers should test the same grade, particle size, pouch media and fill weight intended for bulk procurement.

Send product type, grade, mesh or bead size, pouch weight if applicable, monthly or order quantity, packing format, destination city or port, required documents and whether OEM printing is needed. For export applications, include destination country, cargo type and expected transit duration so we can recommend the correct moisture-protection format.

Keep silica gel sealed in its original bag, drum or carton until use. Once opened, reseal immediately because silica gel begins adsorbing atmospheric moisture. Pouches should be inserted into final packaging quickly after opening the master bag. Store away from water, steam, humid warehouse zones and direct floor contact.

Loose silica gel can be regenerated by controlled heating when the application permits reuse. Blue and white silica gel are commonly regenerated at 120-150C, while orange indicating gel needs lower temperatures as advised in the technical sheet. Pre-filled pouches used in regulated packaging or export cartons are normally treated as single-use unless the buyer has validated reuse.

Silica gel is an amorphous form of silicon dioxide (SiO2) with a porous, interlocking cavity structure. It is non-crystalline and highly adsorptive. It physically adsorbs water vapour into its internal pores without undergoing a chemical reaction, making it highly effective for physical dehumidification in packaging and industrial applications.

No. One of the greatest advantages of silica gel is that it adsorbs water molecules within its microscopic pores while remaining completely dry to the touch and physically unaltered. It does not expand, contract, or dissolve when saturated.

Silica gel is capable of adsorbing up to 35-40% of its own weight in moisture at high relative humidity levels. The adsorption capacity increases significantly as the relative humidity of the surrounding environment grows.

When kept in an airtight, moisture-proof container, silica gel has a nearly infinite shelf life. However, if exposed to ambient air, it will begin to adsorb moisture immediately. It is recommended not to leave sachets exposed to open air for more than 15 minutes before sealing them in the final packaging.

Silica gel is non-toxic, non-flammable, and chemically inert. It does not corrode other materials and has a high melting point. However, indicating variants (like blue silica gel) contain moisture indicators that have specific handling requirements. Silica gel should never be consumed.

Desiccants must be used inside a closed or sealed moisture barrier (such as a sealed carton, polybag, or airtight container) to be effective. If used in an open environment, the silica gel will simply adsorb moisture from the ambient air until saturated.

The amount of silica gel required depends on the volume of the packaging, the moisture transmission rate of the barrier material, and the storage conditions. A general rule of thumb for a well-sealed package is 10 grams of silica gel for every 30cm cube (or roughly 340 grams per cubic meter) of package volume.

Non-indicating and self-indicating silica gel can be regenerated by heating to drive off the adsorbed moisture. For standard white or blue silica gel, heating in an oven at 120°C to 150°C for 2-3 hours is recommended. Orange silica gel should be heated at 105°C to 115°C. The gel must be allowed to cool in an airtight container before reuse.
